Do you know why Millennials are the right people to take over the world? Because they're the kids of Gen X. We get mad at them for being entitled? They're choosing exactly what they want, exactly what they think they should have, and we're just jealous that they have the tenacity to go after it. We should be proud of them for standing up for what they believe in. Gen X parents should be behind their millennial children 100%. Yes we raised them to be dependent on their parents, but didn't the Boomers raise Gen X to trust authority and be dependent upon our American government? Were they wrong? Were we?
A widely discussed issue is when we are children, our parents take care of us, and as our parents age it becomes our opportunity to care for them. In such a cultural scenario, the Millennial generation would currently be preparing to care for their parents. Millennial leadership makes sense in that they should have the authority to put real power behind that care.
